How can we gain freedom in Iran?

Amineh Qaraee, 34, and her brother Ehsan, 28, who fled the mullahs' persecution to Norway four years ago, have a striking story. As children, they witnessed their parents’ arrest and imprisonment for supporting the People’s Mojahedin Organization (PMOI/MEK), the main moderate Muslim group opposed to Khomeini’s theocratic rule.
"When I was just one-year-old my father got arrested, and two months later my mother got arrested with me and they took us to prison. There I had to live between people who got arrested and tortured just because they wanted freedom", Amineh recounts in a moving video testimonial.
"I spent some months in prison until they let my mother deliver me to my grandparents. My mother was in prison for more than two years and my father for four years."
Soon after his release, Amineh’s father, a teacher by profession, was again arrested for his political opinions.
"Finally they informed us that they had killed my father and 30,000 other political activists even though all of them were sentenced to some years in prison, not execution”, she adds before breaking down into tears. This has prompted them to join the cause of supporting human rights and democratic change in Iran through different activities, including promoting petitions and other initiatives through facebook, twitter and youtube.
The Qaraees are not the only families of victims of the mullahs left to deal with the torment of losing their loved ones. The Tehran regime has executed more than 120,000 political prisoners, mostly MEK supporters, in the past 36 years. Their families who live in daily agony number in the millions. An overwhelming majority of Iranians have been harmed or affected in some form by the regime in its 36-year rule.

Paris - Iranian dissidents from around the world will be gathering in Paris this weekend for a major rally to support democracy. Tens of thousands are expected, and major international leaders, including former U.S. cabinet members, will be speaking at the event.
The event is being hosted by the French-based Foundation for the Study of the Middle East, Alliance for Public Awareness and Organization of Iranian American Communities.
The rally will be attended by over 600 political dignitaries, and 120 parliamentarians from some 60 different countries. A bi-partisan delegation from the US Congress will be in attendance, as will representatives from a wide range of European and Muslim countries.
Speakers at the event will include a slew of leading public officials from around the world, including former Governor and Presidential candidate Howard Dean, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Hugh Shelton, and numerous other leading minds.
Maryam Rajavi, the National Council of Resistance of Iran's (NCRI) President elect will also speak at the event. Mrs. Rajavi has emerged as one of the Iranian dissident's communities most vocal and prominent leaders.
Topics will include the rise of Islamic extremism, the potential nuclear deal with Iran, and numerous other related topics.

Supporting NCRI (National council of Iranian Resistance ) Ken Blackwell said: “The NCRI used last year’s Paris rally as an opportunity to speak out against the optimistic and conciliatory tone of nuclear negotiations that still have not been resolved a year later. The NCRI emphasized that by giving away sanctions relief in response to very limited restrictions on the Iranian nuclear program, the West would be giving undue legitimacy to a government that has a long history of deception and that had been under severe pressure from both the international community and its own population.”

Her crimes? Drawing cartoons!

At a time when Western policy toward Iran has been narrowly focused on an ostensibly pragmatic approach to curtailing the regime’s nuclear weapons program, a 29 year old Iranian artist and activist, was sentenced to 14 years in prison by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic. Her crimes? Drawing political cartoons that criticized the supporters of anti-woman legislation.

The solution of the Middle East: Supporting of moderate movements in the region like NCRI

The Rt Hon. David Jones, Secretary of State for Wales (2012-14), in his article published in the Diplomat emphasized moderate Middle Eastern movements like The Iranian resistance (NCRI) to solve the critical situation in the Middle East. Supporting NCRI 12th annual gathering on June 13 he said: “true will to fight will be on display on June 13 in Paris, when the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), the democratic coalition of Iranian opposition groups, holds its annual rally against the destabilizing policies of the theocratic regime in Tehran. Last year’s gathering was attended by almost 100,000 Iranian expatriates and their international supporters. The rally was an indication of the extent of the often marginalized networks which, however, enjoy significant popular support that exist both in and beyond the Middle East and which work for democratic progress in Iran and throughout the region.”

Solidarity for a democratic, non-nuclear Iran- Join Tweetstorm

As every body knows Iran is the core of Islamic fundamentalism in the region which is growing on both sides of this divide, becoming more than an isolated geopolitical concern and leaving the West struggling to understand how to prevent it from threatening the very heart of modern, democratic societies.
Almost two years into the tenure of Hassan Rouhani as the regime’s president, the human rights situation in Iran has been on a slippery slope and reform and moderation are as elusive as ever. Notwithstanding the issue of Iran’s nuclear program, Tehran faces a moribund economy, rampant and pervasive state corruption, a restive and disillusioned population, intensifying factional feuding, and further regional isolation.

' Huge gathering of Iranians and world dignitaries in Paris in June
Iranians and hundreds of international dignitaries will announce acceptable conditions for a nuclear agreement, and particularly the necessary steps needing to be taken by the mullahs in order to ensure Tehran will not acquire a nuclear bomb.
The state of Iran one year after Hassan Rouhani took office, repression of the population and the deteriorating human rights situation, and the policy of Western countries towards Tehran will be addressed at the meeting.

Participants will also demand guarantees for the security and protection of the Iranian refugees in Camp Liberty, Iraq, who are protected persons under the Geneva Conventions, and have suffered repeated attacks by the Iraqi government and at the behest of the Iranian regime.

Over 220 Euro MEPs: Iran has the highest rate of executions in the world

Over 220 members of European Parliament condemned the brutal and systematic violation of human rights in Iran. In a statement which published today, the European Parliamentarians said: “We express our solidarity with the ten-point plan of the Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi, which calls for a democratic pluralistic republic based on universal suffrage, freedom of expression, abolition of torture and death penalty, separation of church and state, a non-nuclear Iran, an independent judicial system, rights for minorities, peaceful coexistence in the region, gender equality and commitment to Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”

 According to an Iranian official’s report, 50 percent of Iranian graduates stay at home. The unemployment
rate of women  in this sector was more than 30 percent.
